What is "Alpha"?

3 Stages of Product Development:

  • Alpha
  • Beta
  • 1.0 (General Release)

Alpha Testing

Of the two testing stages, Alpha is the longest and has the most iterations. The focus is on engineering the product and fixing bugs. As a user you should expect some bugs and missing features, but you can help bring these issues to our attention so we can more quickly solve them. Most critical issues will be addressed while others will be addressed later on in Apha or Beta testing.

The World Table is currently in alpha. We are constantly adding features, optimizing UI and scoring algorithms based on user feedback and user statistics. We love to hear from our users, so please send us feedback.

Beta Testing

Beta testing is mostly about refining the product for a general release. This stage is the shortest. Users should expect very few bugs, crashes, and major issues.

1.0 General Release

At this point the product is ready to go for everyone, although we'll continually make improvements.
